Our popular Winelands destination has developed a devoted following since 2009. As of the first of July the restaurant is under new ownership of Nicole Marais. Being a mom of two she has decided to change the restaurant to a family friendly establishment.
Guests are invited to come and enjoy a relaxed family dinning experience on our wraparound balcony, where you become one with nature with our prized vineyards right there in front of you. Nicole describes her style as wholesome bistro food. We have all the right ingredients including award-winning wines, a seasonal, flavorful, beautifully plated menu. Kiddie menu as well as a woodfired pizza menu, a jungle gym, ice-cream and wine pairing, kiddie pairing so the little ones don’t need to feel left out and priceless views.
We invite parents to come relax while the little ones make their own pizza, decorate a cupcake, play with the toys or play outside.
Seasonal Menu
Clos Malverne Restaurant is a popular destination for food and wine enthusiasts. Now serving upmarket, comfort food and rustic, wood-fired pizzas – we are opening our arms to all. Our new affordable menu, together with our broad wine list now caters for every taste since the recent extension of the ever-popular Devonet range of wines.
Being blessed with breath-taking views, we decided to expand the outside seating area, to ensure no more fist fights over the front row seats. Join us for an unforgettable, mouth-watering taste sensation, whilst sipping on award-winning wines, surrounded by nature and the harmonic sounds of our extensive birdlife!
Unique Wine Pairing
Clos Malverne Restaurant has a well respected name for our delectable ice-cream and wine pairing. Available throughout the year with ice-cream flavours changing every 6 months. Non-alcoholic pairings also available. We recommend you book your pairing experience, however we always welcome walk-ins if space is available.
As of January 2024, we have extended our pairing options to include Pizza pairing, Meat pairing, Cheese pairing for your enjoyment.
Functions & Wedding Venue
Open daily for breakfast, lunch and wine tasting (apart from Mondays), our gourmet destination, in the heart of the Winelands, can be booked as a venue for exclusive parties, weddings and corporate soirees of up to 100 guests – day or night. Dinner is seasonal and currently available on Fri-Sat evenings from 6pm to 9pm.
For more intimate functions such as birthdays, baby showers, etc, of up to 40 guests, we offer the side terrace that can be closed off for privacy at no additional cost. Tables larger than 15 pax, we suggest a shortened A La Cart menu.
